Love Speaks

Oh what a joy it was to photograph this couple. The reception was underway.  Things had gotten crazy.  People were gathered around Hannah and Dylan, giving their 'congratulations', when it dawned on me that they hadn't really had a moment alone all night to let "hey, were married" sink in...I managed to sneak them away to the sanctuary where the ceremony was held, and told them to just "be" . . . to just talk to each other, to hug, to kiss...whatever they wanted. I began snapping pictures like a mad woman and boy was it worth it! When I uploaded this session and began to pick apart the album, I came across this gem of a photo. I felt a huge smile sweep across my face and my eyes became damp. The love that this couple shares, as captured in this photo, is everything.  It is patient, kind, and it doesn't boast...No, it simply speaks. What is it saying? It is saying that there is hope...it is a reminder that true love does exist, if you're brave enough to open your heart up to it. This is what makes my job so worth it!!!
